During 2024, Alpitour obtained certification according to the UNI CEI ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard for its Information Security Management System. This Management System outlines how Alpitour safeguards information and maintains IT security across its corporate information systems. It employs a mix of commercial, legal, technological, design, and organisational strategies tailored to risk assessments, industry best practices, and mandatory regulations.

In 2019, anticipating the entry into force of the EU legislation banning single-use plastic, the Group initiated two projects aimed at eliminating single-use plastic from VOIhotels&#39; facilities and Neos&#39; aircraft. The hotel chain managed to eliminate more than 1.1 million plastic items and decided to strengthen its commitment by raising its guests&rsquo; awareness to adopt a systemic solution. Neos too has adopted plastic substitutes for on-board and ground operations, for example by using paper and cardboard.&nbsp;

PLASTIC FREE

Training and educating people - whether employees, guests and customers, families or suppliers - is central to the Group: behaviour and awareness are the main levers for implementing a change in thinking. Activities in this area include the initiative with Giunti Scuola, through which Alpitour reached more than 130,000 primary school children throughout Italy, showing children and their families responsible behaviour through educational activities, information material and a book. VOIhotels has also started a collaboration with Worldrise, an association that protects the marine environment, to promote education about the sea, its specificities and fragility.

GREEN HERO

Since 2018, we have been collaborating with Treedom, a web platform that allows people to plant a tree from a distance and follow it online, with the aim of making each seed germinate until, tree after tree, a luxuriant Alpitour World forest grows in several countries worldwide, including Kenya, Madagascar and Tanzania. A mission shared by several of the Group&#39;s brands and companies and aimed at safeguarding the environment, supporting local populations and giving a trip souvenir to our travellers. Our forest today has more than 4,300 trees planted and the goal is to reach 20,000 in 2024.

THE ALPITOUR WORLD FOREST

In the summer of 2021, VOIhotels initiated a project in collaboration with the company Allegrini Amenities to provide a sustainable, ethical and biodegradable amenities line &ndash; DPLANET - in all the Italian hotels in the collection. It is a solid, water-free, natural-based, dermatologically tested and vegan cosmetic developed to offer hotellerie businesses a viable alternative to traditional soap. VOIhotels was the first hotel chain to adopt the product and carry out analyses on guest satisfaction. This has meant that an average of around 2,800 kg of plastic per year, including bottles, dispensers and jerry-cans, is not released into the environment, as well as reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere by 73%. &nbsp;

DPLANET

VOIhotels has started a certification process for its facilities with the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) to map and analyse its consumption and adopt a model that meets the GSTC stringent social, economic and environmental requirements. The process started in 2019 and has led VOIhotels to have 13 facilities certified. The certifying body also conducts audits in the central offices and every two years replicates the control actions to confirm or point out areas of improvement against the matrix of sustainability indicators provided for by the GSTC standard.&nbsp;
