On Saturday 8 June, at 17:00 local time, the first direct flight Neos, the Alpitour World airline, departed from New York's JFK airport to Palermo. The service, operated with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, provides two weekly flights throughout the summer season, on Saturdays and Mondays, and represents an important opportunity for the largest island in the Mediterranean, in terms of both outgoing and incoming traffic.
This connection, the only direct one from Sicily to the United States for the months of June, July, August and September, will be reconfirmed for 2025 with an additional frequency.
An incredible opportunity in addition to the existing weekly flights between New York and Milan Malpensa, and between Toronto and Milan Malpensa.
