6 April 2023. With Neos, Alpitour World's airline, the first scheduled flight to Toronto, Canada's main industrial and financial centre, will take off from Milan Malpensa.

The new route, initially with a weekly frequency, will take off every Thursday with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, the company's flagship aircraft used for medium- to long-haul routes. The aircraft will take off in the late morning from Milan Malpensa and arrive in Toronto in the afternoon, Canadian local time. Departure is scheduled for 5 PM with landing in Italy in the early hours of the next morning. The route will operate in connection with the incoming connecting flight from Amritsar, the main city of the federated state of Punjab, India, another recent route officially opened in December 2022. Passengers from India will be able to take advantage of the connections offered by Neos to both New York and Toronto, where there is a large Indian community.
