ALPITOUR WORLD TO SUPPORT CULTURE
SPECIALE ESTATE CON FRANCOROSSO: OVER 9,000 ADMISSIONS TO THE EGYPTIAN MUSEUM OF TURIN OFFERED BY FRANCOROSSO

In a context where the worlds of tourism and culture are intertwined, the four-year agreement between Alpitour World and the Egyptian Museum of Turin marked the beginning of an extraordinary journey. With a significant financial commitment, Alpitour World has joined forces with one of the world's oldest and most fascinating museums to support a number of cultural events and room renovation projects. This collaboration represents a bridge between two organisations dedicated to the enhancement of leisure and to conservation, study and enhancement of heritage.

A central aspect of the collaboration was the initiative “Speciale Estate con Francorosso”, Alpitour World's historic brand that gathers an international audience and has specialised in the destination Egypt since the 1970s. The series of seven free evening events at the Egyptian Museum on Saturdays in July and August was a way to involve the community and make culture accessible to an even wider audience.

The free entrance offered by Francorosso, every Saturday from 6.30 pm to 10.30 pm, proved to be particularly popular. Participation exceeded expectations, totalling over 9,700 admissions during the entire series of events. Visitors crowded the Egyptian Museum on each of the scheduled evenings and an average of about 1,400 admissions per evening was recorded, demonstrating the enthusiasm and interest for this important opportunity.

The results achieved show that cooperation between the worlds of tourism and culture works well and can give rise to events and initiatives that reach an ever-wider public. There are many novelties for next autumn, ready to unite once again the sphere of leisure with that of the conservation, valorisation and study of cultural heritage. Among these the birth of the Magazine "EGITTOYOU" signed by Francorosso and Museo Egizio that will be distributed to Travel Agencies together with the catalogues "Mari e Tramonti" and that will contain articles about art, nature, culture and tourism.

In addition to the Magazine there are the Kids Labs, which will be realized in some selected Francorosso SeaClubs starting from next winter. The labs have been designed by the Egyptian Museum in collaboration with Francorosso and its technical partner Headu, a company specialised in games, books and apps for the development of children's basic skills, and include engaging and exciting didactic activities that combine education and fun, to stimulate the curiosity and creativity of the youngest and to tell the magic of the past in a simple and exciting way.
