More than 150 people including professionals, stakeholders, national press, bodies and associations operating in the tourism sector in Italy and abroad met on 10 October at the General States of Tourism 2024 in Pesaro, at the Alpitour World headquarters in Strada della Fornace Vecchia.
A source of pride for Alpitour World to host such a prestigious event, a collective opportunity to take stock of the summer season that has just ended and to look at tourism with new eyes, in the light of changes in climate, consumption, context and sensitivity.
An important space was dedicated to Pesaro as Capital of Culture 2024, setting out the key dates and the main themes including nature, technology and innovation, among strategies aimed at supporting the territory's natural and cultural heritage, discovering the unprecedented and good living. "The nature of culture", in fact, is the leitmotif that will sustain the territory on the Pesaro2024 journey, a journey that unites the province of the Marche with Alpitour World, committed to the same fronts.
After an opening greeting by Silvano Straccini, General Manager Pesaro 2024, the works were opened by Tommaso Bertini, Alpitour World Corporate Marketing Director, who spoke on the theme "Scenarios: trends and tendencies of tourism and Alpitour World". This was followed by a number of talks in which institutional figures and personalities from the world of tourism took the floor: from the President of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca, to Pesaro 2024 Artistic Director Agostino Riitano, Pesaro Mayor Matteo Ricci and Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Beauty Daniele Vimini, and many others, to recount virtuous experiences of enhancing the territory understood as an increasingly complete and enriching experience.
