Accessibility is not an “extra,” but the essential condition to make every journey truly universal. This principle is the foundation of one of the pillars of our commitment: ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy a barrier-free holiday experience.
On October 7th, Gianmaria Patti, Head of Concept & Customer Assistance, took part in the World Summit on Accessible Tourism – “Destinations for All,” to present the “Senza Barriere” project, launched in 2010 in collaboration with Handy Superabile.
This is a concrete initiative that, over the years, has led to the testing of more than 50 resorts in Italy and around the world, with detailed reports on rooms, restaurants, beaches, pools, and services, so that every person can make informed and confident travel choices.
📍 The World Summit on Accessible Tourism took place from October 5th to 7th at the Lingotto Conference Center in Turin, under the auspices of UN Tourism, the United Nations agency for sustainable and inclusive tourism.
An international event to share experiences, highlight best practices, and strengthen the global network of accessible tourist destinations.
