VOIhotels, the hotel chain of Alpitour World, announces a new partnership with WWF Italia in the name of responsible tourism and environmental protection. The agreement is part of the WWF Our Nature campaign, which aims to halt the loss of biodiversity by 2030 and promote the regeneration of ecosystems.
The collaboration will focus on supporting WWF Oases - more than 100 protected areas distributed throughout Italy - with a particular focus on those close to VOIhotels resorts, such as Le Cesine in Puglia and Monte Arcosu in Sardinia.
Also on the programme are educational activities dedicated to young guests, with themed workshops and games to introduce the new generations to respect for nature.
"As WWF we have long believed that in order to achieve real change and build a world in which man can live in harmony with nature, it is also necessary to involve the business world. This is why we are delighted to collaborate with VOIhotels in a partnership that focuses on the values of environmental education and sustainable tourism," said Alessandra Prampolini, Director General of WWF Italy.
"The collaboration with WWF represents an important step for us. We are convinced that joining forces with such a recognised organisation can further enrich our guests' experience and enhance the territories in which we operate," says Paolo Terrinoni, CEO of VOIhotels.
This initiative is part of VOIhotels' broader commitment to the environment, which includes the use of renewable energy, plastic reduction, sustainable supply chains and GSTC certification for responsible tourism.
WWF Italia and VOIhotels are thus working together to offer increasingly conscious travel experiences in harmony with the environment
